The Tool World MCE story begins in 1953, when Sarkis was born. At the young age of thirteen, he was introduced to the amazing world that is jewellery ,after passing a store and seeing a beautiful yellow gold necklace that sparked the interest to how it was made, passing the store every day on his way to school, he always ran late as he stood at the window gazing at the piece. After discovering an interest in the jewellery trade, Sarkis begged his Uncle to let him work next to him and after much negotiating, he finally began working in a jewellery manufacturing company. By 1973 Sarkis was ready and able to open his very own jewllery retail store, he also went into partnership with a friend and opened a manufacturing plant. With the business becoming overwhelmingly busy, in 1977 Sarkis and his team had to move to larger premises to keep up with the demand.

By 1984 business was running smoothly and Sarkis had opened many retail stores, and also began diamond dealing.

In search of new business possibilities, Sarkis decided to move his family including his two young sons, Roberto and Rudi to Melbourne, Australia. In the year 1991 Roberto and Rudi began to show great interest in the jewellery trade and began working with their father after school and on weekends.

At the cessation of their education, Roberto and Rudi began working full time with their father. Orders began flooding in and they were able to outgrow their makeshift workshop and move into a building in the CBD of Melbourne. Room 902, 9th floor of 125 Swanston St. was their new address and 'Melbourne Chain Enterprises' was the new name. It was the year 1997, within the next year they began employing more and more staff and had outgrown their premises once again. By 2001 the refinery was established in a 2400sqm factory in Sunshine, Melbourne, seperating the divisions of the company.

The refinery was equipped with the latest machinery right from the beginning and was immediately a huge success. In order to keep up with industry demands and the expansion of the work shop, the manufacturing division was moved once again, into a 200sqm premises in the Nicholas Building, Swanston St, Melbourne.

 Having fully established the manufacturing plant and refinery, Roberto and his team began researching the next project, the jewellery and dental supply market in Australia. Having noticed that there was a desperate need for a supplier in these industries with competitive prices. In August 2003 the dream was fulfilled and the family along with their employees opened Tool World MCE in the Century Building, Melbourne. To date Tool World MCE not only supplies the jewellery trade with tools, but now also supplies the dental industry.

Today, Tool World MCE is still a family run company, along with over 85 very valued staff members, we have expanded into many exciting areas, providing a wide range of services, to a vast portfolio of clients Australia wide and Internationally. We are now based in Melbourne CBD and Mulgrave.
